Week 20 – The Exercise

The exercise for week 20 says it all for me. It confirms the miracle of my birth and of your birth. It tells me that any thing worthwhile can be achieved through the creative power of thought.

(Haanel 20 – 31) For your exercise this week, go into the Silence and concentrate on the fact that “In him we live and move and have our being” is literally and scientifically exact! That you ARE because He IS, that if He is Omnipresent He must be in you. That if He is all in all you must be in Him! That He is Spirit and you are made in “His image and likeness” and that the only difference between His spirit and your spirit is one of degree, that a part must be the same in kind and quality as the whole. When you can realize this clearly you will have found the secret of the creative power of thought, you will have found the origin of both good and evil, you will have found the secret of the wonderful power of concentration, you will have found the key to the solution of every problem whether physical, financial, or environmental.

As long as we recognize that the power is within us and within all living persons and things around us, anything is possible. This goes for both positive and negative. If we think negatively…about unhappiness, what we can’t do, what we can’t have…that is exactly what we will get. If we think positively…about happiness, what we can do, what we will have in our lives, we will have those things. The power is within you. You need only to perceive this and be persistent in your concentration. Let it become habit.

The magic is in the exercise, the Silence, if you will. Take time daily for yourself. Relax and concentrate on all that is good. Let your ideal be visualized. Let the power of your thoughts fuel your fire and help you plan fearlessly. You will then execute masterfully.

This Haanel quote is one of my favorites. It ties so much together. Thanks for the reminder, Shirley.
